POLD
Used car parts, matched in a few taps.
POLD is a marketplace connecting car services and scrapyards: post a request for a part, receive offers, close the deal, all inside one app. One of DedalDev's own startups.
It solves a specific, unglamorous problem: a car service needs a used part, a scrapyard has it, and until now finding the match meant a lot of phone calls.
We built it in Flutter for iOS and Android with a backend behind it. Owners of each service or scrapyard add employees and grant them access through a phone-number and SMS-code login. A service posts a request for a part, specifying the car it is for; a scrapyard that has it makes a priced offer; the service accepts or rejects from a notification, and on acceptance the scrapyard is told where to send it.
The surface looks simple, but the matching and the flow underneath are what let a whole exchange close in just a few taps. It is one of the startups we built for ourselves.
