Polazak.rs is the largest bus ticketing platform in Serbia: timetable search, seat inventory, payments, fiscal receipts, and the back office for bus operators.
Before us, another team had been developing the system for about five years, with no real goal of ever shipping it. We were asked to take it over: we brought it to production readiness, launched it, and have been watching over it ever since.
Today we run it end to end: the search engine over live timetables, per-segment seat inventory so a seat sold from A to B can still be sold from B to C, card payments, legally compliant fiscal receipts, and the tools operators use every day.
The scale is real: over 4 million searches a month across 579 bus operators, more than 140,000 departures, and coverage of 35,000+ stations in 11,800+ settlements. It processes ticket sales worth millions every year and cannot afford a bad day. That is the kind of production responsibility we like: real money, real buses, real passengers, every single morning. And we keep scaling and improving it.
